Who am I, what am I ?

I am a Life Explorer.

I think everything else is just consequences.

I consider myself to be an ordinary person seeking to do extraordinary things. My main driver in my life is wanting to make a difference. I believe there are millions of people in the United Kingdom and billions of people across the world who would all like to contribute something for the future and would like to go make a difference before they they die. Could it be that how we as individuals become ‘great’ and make a difference is that we stretch ourselves continually to do new and varied things and we continue to explore. And the more we explore the more we discover.

Most of the World’s Greats have been explorers in one form or another – carrying their inbuilt curiosity  to the ‘extremes’. An explorer  journeys away from a comfort place or ‘zone’ to see what is ‘out-there’. Along the way they  discover new ‘nuggets’ of knowledge. Great Explorers openly share this knowledge for the benefit of all humanity. Great explorers start their explorations with the concrete outer Physical World but invariably on their journey they discover more about themselves, more about other human beings and more about the life that is all around us. They discover both the frailties and the strengths of the human condition and of life itself.

We are all born Explorers and it is probably circumstance, opportunity and mindset that dictates how far we travel. The more an Explorer ‘discovers’, the more curious the explorer becomes. The more an explorer learns the easier it becomes to learn more.

So I am an simply an explorer (like all of you who arrive here) and my blogs are here to share what I know I know (very little in the grand scheme of things) what I know I don’t, what I didn’t know I knew and what I don’t know that I don’t know. Most of the solutions to the chronic problems of today lie in that area that currently we don’t know we don’t know. If you have arrived here, you are ‘exploring’ and inquisitive, so please feel free, through this blog, to go deeper (as did the Bonzo Dog Band) –  into the cavities of my mind.

Life Exploration to date has led me to be:

  • an iconoclast in personal development, business improvement and thinking.
  • an innerpreneur rather than an entrepreneur
  • a thought-leader and thought facilitator
  • a world-class trainer specialising in “brain-friendly” Learning
  • a very capable facilitator and coach
  • an associate/visiting lecturer for several academic institutions
  • a professional speaker with a difference
  • Founder and Director of The House of Learning – a business dedicated to Personal Improvement in all its manifestations – Body, Mind and Spirit. The House of Learning benefits from working in partnership with many other organisations.

As a speaker I have an interesting range of powerful and challenging keynote speeches and I have the ability to speak on any subject at short notice (The Super-Sub of Speaking) – provided of course that the organisers are happy to have someone speaking who is likely to challenge the status quo in their profession or industry (after all this is what iconoclasts do)

I am constantly challenging the way I think, we think, how we think and what we think about.

I am also one of the very few scientists with an interest in ‘Healing” and I am the founder of a (presently ’sleeping’) Political Party “The Emergent Party” (currently progressing as a Think-Tank) with the ambition to revolutionise politics in the 21st Century.
